The Paper & Oak EDC is a handcrafted fixed-blade knife combining low-layer damascus steel with a handle made from natural and recycled materials.
The blade features a K720 high-carbon steel core, hardened to approximately 60–62 HRC. K720 is known for its good edge retention, wear resistance, and ability to take a fine cutting edge. The surrounding damascus layers create a visible pattern across the blade.
The blade has a modified drop-point profile, with a slightly lowered tip suited for controlled cutting, carving, and everyday tasks. Its 4 mm spine provides strength, making it suitable for light bushcraft and outdoor use.
The handle combines oak wood, leather, and a handmade composite produced in my workshop from recycled magazine paper and epoxy resin. The layers of paper create a distinctive structure, while the resin makes the material stable and resistant to moisture.
The knife comes with a handmade black leather sheath, entirely hand-stitched and decorated with traditional hand tooling.
